Some weddings just feel good from start to finish, and Dave and Matt’s celebration last October was exactly that. Amrit and Joe of M2 Photography captured every stunning moment, and their photos tell the story better than my words ever could. With a breathtaking private location in the Poconos as their backdrop, these two created a day that was elevated, effortless, and full of love — plus some truly top-tier vendor talent that made it all come together beautifully.

With the lake and the trees and the crisp October air settling in, the whole day felt like an extension of the place itself — natural, welcoming, and exactly where they were meant to be.

The day started at Matt’s family cabin, a place filled with meaning and surrounded by the kind of scenery that makes you stop and take it all in. Their afternoon was spent getting ready, sharing quiet moments, and, of course, making time for some photos with their pup, Hoagie.

When it was time for the ceremony, guests gathered lakeside for what can only be described as a joyful and deeply emotional exchange of vows. Matt’s dad, Charlie, officiated, making the moment even more personal and meaningful. By the time these two said “I do,” there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd — including ours. Happy tears all around.

Cocktail hour kicked off on the deck (and dock), with Peachtree Catering serving up an incredible lineup of bites and drinks. The reception followed with heartfelt toasts, delicious food (Peachtree really knocked it out of the park on every level), and a packed dance floor thanks to the band, Overdrive from Hank Lane. They brought the energy all night, and it was one of those parties where you could tell no one wanted it to end. The florals, created by Afterall Floral — talented friends of the couple based in Massachusetts — were a stunning, personal touch, effortlessly enhancing the space without feeling overdone.

More than anything, this day was a testament to what happens when a wedding is built around what truly matters — love, joy, and the people who mean the most. Every moment felt easy, every detail felt right, and in the end, Dave and Matt got exactly what they wanted: an unforgettable weekend surrounded by their favorite people.
