Halloween-esque Wedding at Glasbern Inn | Hannah & Evan

I know it’s June and we’re nowhere near Halloween, but Hannah and Evan’s wedding at Glasbern Inn has been sitting in my “To Blog” folder for months and I keep coming back to it. It’s one of those days that was just too good (and too well thought out) not to share, even if we’re a little off-season.

Set at Glasbern Inn in late October, the whole day leaned into fall in a way that felt natural to the property: warm, textured, and just a little moody in the best way. Hannah and Evan layered in subtle Halloween elements throughout, not in a kitschy or over-the-top way (at least not until we got the After Party kicked off), but in a way that felt intentional and honestly… so cool. The kind of wedding where you can tell they knew exactly what they wanted it to feel like.

And having Dearly Beloved Weddings there to capture it all meant none of those details got lost. The energy, the color, the shift from a romantic ceremony into a full-on Halloween party later in the night — it’s all here in a way that feels really true to how the day actually unfolded.

The morning started early, but in a way that felt calm rather than chaotic. Hannah and her crew were at the Packhouse, easing into the day with hair and makeup by Alisha Nycole & Co..

Evan and his group were up in the Dairy Barn, which is one of my favorite spots at Glasbern and honestly one of the best getting ready locations on the property. It’s tucked away just enough that you have a ton of privacy, has great light, and provides a great space to hang without feeling like you’re in the middle of everything.

Before seeing Evan, Hannah shared a first look with her dad and two brothers. It was one of those moments that just sort of stopped everything for a minute. No big production, no overthinking it — just the three of them seeing her for the first time (obviously she looked stunning) and taking it in.

From there, Hannah and Evan met for their first look. It gave them a chance to actually see each other, take a breath, let out some tears, and settle in before everything officially kicked off.

We rolled straight from Couple photos into wedding party and immediate family photos, all before guests began arriving.

The ceremony took place at the outdoor Packhouse location at Glasbern, with guests gathered and settled in on the stone patio as everything began. The space itself does a lot of the work — simple, open, and set against the property in a way that doesn’t need much added to it.

Hannah walked down the aisle with her dad, meeting Evan at the front, with her brother officiating. That piece especially made it feel more personal without needing to layer in anything extra.

Cocktail hour took place at the Grand Lodge, with guests flowing in right after the ceremony. Between the indoor and outdoor spaces, people naturally spread out grabbing drinks, finding a spot to hang, and easing into the next part of the evening.

There was a good mix of things to do without it feeling like too much. The camper-style photo booth was up and running, lawn games were out, and the bar setup (including their signature drinks) kept people moving. It felt social in an easy, low-pressure way — exactly what you want in that transition between ceremony and reception.

Meanwhile, Hannah and Evan wrapped up a few extended family photos nearby and then joined in, which always makes a difference. It gave them time to actually be part of cocktail hour instead of missing it entirely.

As guests began finding their seats in the reception space, Hannah and Evan stepped out for a few quick photos by the pond. This is one of those ICONIC spots at Glasbern that always delivers.

Once inside, the reception kicked off with introductions straight into the first dance, which set the tone without a lot of buildup. From there, it moved into welcome toasts and dinner service, with everything unfolding in a way that felt steady and easy to follow.

Dinner was served while guests were already settled and relaxed, which always helps the room feel a little more grounded. Toasts were woven in naturally, rather than stacking everything all at once, so it never felt like the evening stalled out or got too heavy in one direction.

From a flow standpoint, it struck that balance of giving space for the meaningful moments, while still keeping the energy moving forward.

Once dinner wrapped, the Bachelor Boys Band took over and the dance floor filled in pretty quickly. It had that good, steady energy and it carried through the rest of the night.

At the same time, there were a few other things happening around the property that people kept circling back to. The photo booth from Incognito Photo Booth Co. was set up just outside the lodge. It’s a converted camper trailer and honestly just as cute as it sounds. It gave people a whole separate little moment away from the dance floor, but never too far.

And then there was the face painting by Fabulous Faces — which could have easily felt like a gimmick, but was anything but. It was artful, really well done, and fully embraced by guests in a way that made it feel like part of the experience, not just an add-on.

As the reception ended, things shifted into the after party, which is where they really leaned into the Halloween side of things.

The Pavilion became its own little world, with music, pizza, candy, and a fog machine. It wasn’t trying to be anything over the top — just a really fun extension of the night that gave people space to settle in, be silly, and stay awhile.

It was the kind of ending that felt true to the rest of the day: thoughtful, a little playful, and easy for guests to be part of without needing much direction.

Next to marrying each other, hiring DPNAK was by far the BEST wedding decision we made.

I truly don’t know how anyone could stay sane during the planning process or enjoy a seamless wedding day without someone like Danielle
